Spore Shroom is actually incredibly useful for the Broken Vessel / Lost Kin, or just healing in a place like the Soul Sanctum. The infection spawns/follies get shredded by it when they'd ordinarily have a rewsonable chance of ruining your heal windows. I suppose you find it to just be outclassed by the crest? Also, finding soul in the Path of Pain is as easy as it gets. You practically have an unlimited supply

all of the build options you told us about til minute 1:19 are great, but my personal favorite is "getting my ass beat up build", which is great for ppl who just suck at fighting, like myself. I usually go for some combination of dashmaster, grubsong, unbreakable heart, thorns of agony, quick focus, sharp shadow, dream wielder, shape of unn, dreamshield and baldur shell!

baldur shell is actually really useful in the radiance fight because of its invincibility frames

This was a really great video, and I want to play Celeste again now. I agree with some of this list, though I actually really like Golden Ridge, especially the B-side music (shoutout In Love with a Ghost). And then I really don’t like Celestial Resort (I do not like dust bunnies) and I don’t remember Reflections very fondly (you and I had a VERY different 6B experience). But I agree with pretty much the rest of the placements. My one gripe is that you didn’t play Joy of Remembrance when you were talking about Farewell. Good video.

Along with defenders crest, spore shroom is also bery usefull in the broken vessel and lost kin fights. It gives you a lot more opportunities to heal as when you do, you kill the flying blobs because most of the time when focusing one of them will just swoop in and instantly take a mask off and reverse your healing

I always assumed everyone likes Golden Ridge, but I am so happy to see that others don't like it as much. Golden Ridge has to be the prettiest chapter by far, but the gamplay is soooo terrible. I absolutely despised it. Especially with those moving platforms oh my god don't even get me started! Chapter 7s use of those platforms pissed me off. Especially getting that one berry with the platform that sits in the center and goes straight up. That was just miserable honestly. Also, I disagree with your mirror temple criticisms. I think it's one of my favorite chapters. Overall, what I disagree with the most is when you said it's almost impossible to get everything because you don't know which is the right way forward. I completely agree with that criticism of the game overall, but this is not a criticism unique to mirror temple. It's a problem almost every chapter has. It's almost impossible to tell which way has the secrets half of the time. I think it's unfair to point out mirror temple for this. If anything, it makes sense that it's like this. It's a complex, winding temple that shoots off in a dozen different directions. Not knowing your way around is a fun part of it. The game is ment to have replay ability anyways. I think it's some fun to treck back through these levels and beat earlier sections much easier. It gives you a sense of progression.

On the topic of the reflection C side: I disagree on the checkpoint being unnecessary. It is the only(?) spot in the game that managed to teach me the behaviour of the bumpers in terms of directionality of your joystick on hit (and the few frames after). I would've never known without that checkpoint because my learning experiences would be too far apart dying each time
